The older I get, the more grateful I am for my health, and supportive family and friends.
Each year, I am touched by yet another friend or family member who is diagnosed with cancer or is no longer with us. This year, another dear friend, Anna Marie Pousson was diagnosed and fought breast cancer. Marian Luntz is a 31 year survivor, Dianna is a 3 year survivor and I am a 11 year survivor.
Each year, I we walk with more determination and encourage others to join me as we raise funds to find a cure.
Thank you for your love and prayers. I am truly blessed.
With much gratitude
In Memory of Margaret, Kathy, Vanessa, Billie, Ari Up and Poly Styrene
Margaret Gehrlich is my hero. She was an 18 year breast cancer survivor who walked with me was my support and inspiration since I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June, 2006. Sadly, Margaret passed away from a massive aneurysm and can not walk with us in person now. She walks with us and those touched by her in Spirit again this year.
Vanessa Roessler started her journey with me in 2006. We spent countless hours together in chemo and I loved her dearly. She lost the battle in August 2008 after a courageous battle. She, too, walks with us in Spirit.
Billie deIorio was my most favorite person to hang out with at Polly's (Kelly's mom) on New Years day. A Memorial Bird was released in her memory at the start of the 2011 race.
Poly Styrene (X-ray Spex) and Ari Up (Slits) were my inspirations as Mydolls were formed and wrote music. We lost them to breast cancer waaay too early.
Love these ladies!! Love you for your support.
Cancer is so stupid,
Dividing to conquer
Killing itself...killing its own host.
Family and Friends
Fearful and broken
Trying to be so brave...
Afraid of the unknown
Eating at my whole being
Killing me from within
Tearing at my heart...
Tearing me apart.
Don't F**king Die..
She said, with her tear filled eyes.
Mydolls, Houston Texas
In honor of those whose courage shows us how to live without fear..
