My name is Lynette Lamey and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 2013. This year I’m celebrating 4 years as a Breast Cancer Survivor and I’m further thankful to be among the HOUSTON STRONG hurricane survivors too. I’ve since accepted the challenge to participate in the Komen Houston Race for the Cure® 5K walk.
The Susan G. Komen Houston Race for the Cure® has been rescheduled to Saturday, January 27th, 2018 to focus on recovery efforts in our city due to Hurricane Harvey. The race is usually held during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.
However, our fight against breast cancer is more than October and it’s also much more than that beautiful pink bow we wear to raise awareness every year. It’s about surviving, thriving, celebrating life and giving hope to others impacted by this dreadful disease. It’s about having faith and believing that all of our efforts combined together can and will make a difference towards not only finding a cure but to FUND a cure!
We are now accepting donations and encouraging race team participants to sign-up at this time.
Please join-in the race with us and/or give to support our efforts online. You may do so by selecting "Donate Now". I would be honored to see your name appear on this page in the scroll under "Fundraising Honor Roll". Any gift towards this great cause is deeply appreciated and tax-deductible - thank you!!

BE MORE THAN PINK!
